Movement Comes Most Often Without Motion
Movement comes most often without motion.
Incremental thaws can peel a rock.
Years wash away the stubbornest emotion,
While silence can the rustiest thought unlock.
There are magic whispers quietly in mourning
That soothe what we will never know as pain,
And songs that come upon us without warning,
Undoing all the buttons that remain.
Our skin is quite a permeable border
Across which strangers freely come and go,
Subversive to our phantom sense of order
Yet never touching what we think we know.
Thus without motion do we silent move
Unknowing, till suddenly we love. |

I can see the connection beteewn the two questions. There is much to learn about love from poetry. My favorite poet in terms of romantic poetry is Pablo Neruda. The Captain's Verses is a beautiful portrayal of his passion. I also like that most editions come with both the English and Spanish versions. The original sounds lovely to the ear.Gennaros last blog post.. |
Being a die hard pat |

Being a die hard patriot fan, it is hard for me to acwkgnledoe when they get flat out dominated in every singe aspect of the game. But I must tip my cap to Drew Brees, Sean Payton, and the rest of the New Orleans Saints. Last night represented one of the greatest games i have witnessed a quarterback play. This is saying a lot, seeing how i witness Tom Brady and Peyton Manning play every week. The Patriot's defense would be the easiest to blame, but do they really deserve it? I thought they played pretty well, but there just isnt any possible way to defend against a perfectly thrown ball. And 18 out of 23 times last night, Brees delivered a perfectly thrown ball.If Patriots fans want someone to blame, i suggest the coaching staff. Where was the pressure on brees? It seemed like he had an eturnity to scan the feild, pump fake one way, look to his 3rd or even 4th receiver, and deliver a strike downfeild without being touched every play. Clearly we couldn't even stop the saints offense when we werent sending pressure, so why not take a shot at pressuring Brees and causing a turnover. on the other sideline, Sean Payton coached a brilliant game defensively, rotating fom man to man, to a 2 man rush, to a 3 man rush, rolling to zone coverage. Brady had no idea what to expect. |

A letter by Beethoven People just don't write stuff like this anrmoye do they? I have to admit to watching this evening the movie, Sex and the city, not really my kind of thing but I sat and sobbed and when Carrie read a little of this out I had to go search (Google porn PG!!) for the proper version and again reading it I have sobbed, Oh to be so loved, god help me I miss being so loved, so with my heart breaking as it does every day but especially bloody Sundays, I'm posting another thing on here I'm so very lonely Though still in bed, my thoughts go out to you, my Immortal Beloved, now and then joyfully, then sadly, waiting to learn whether or not fate will hear us I can live only wholly with you or not at all Yes, I am resolved to wander so long away from you until I can fly to your arms and say that I am really at home with you, and can send my soul enwrapped in you into the land of spirits Yes, unhappily it must be so You will be the more contained since you know my fidelity to you. No one else can ever possess my heart never never Oh God, why must one be parted from one whom one so loves. And yet my life in V is now a wretched life Your love makes me at once the happiest and the unhappiest of men At my age I need a steady, quiet life can that be so in our connection? My angel, I have just been told that the mailcoach goes every day therefore I must close at once so that you may receive the letter at once Be calm, only by a calm consideration of our existence can we achieve our purpose to live together Be calm love me today yesterday what tearful longings for you you you my life my all farewell. Oh continue to love me never misjudge the most faithful heart of your beloved.ever thineever mineever ours |
