One who suffers from unrequited love might appear to be calm as this poem. However if the love was real, it should be one of the most devastating experiences in one's life. How can this poem even remotely represent the feelings of one who is suffering from unrequited love? That simile? Feels like a sore thumb that was stuck in to invent artistic merit in an otherwise elementary (and colloquial) poem. |

Name: JoJo | 2008-09-05 |
i was looking for something to send to a friend to cheer her up a little while at the same time i sometimes also feel the pain of 'unrequitted love'. it is acutally interesting that many people feel the same but rarely express what they really feel. we never know when this pain stops and starts. love has strange habits: it can hurt while we're in love or hurt us when ones love is not being returned. a true poem that sincerely expresses what many of us feel some times! |

Can I simply say what a aid to screah out somebody who actually is aware of what theyre talking about on the internet. You positively know learn how to bring a difficulty to light and make it important. Extra individuals need to read this and perceive this side of the story. I cant consider youre not more fashionable since you positively have the gift. |

Thanks for liking this, y'all. I hope I made it clear that I imtlpcaie myself in this satire too to some extent. I am not as social as I could and perhaps should be. I can think of some literary bloggers we would all do well to emulate, but I don't want to embarass them by calling them out, and in any case there is no one best way to blog but I will say that when I click on a blog and see no sidebar links or links page whatsoever, I tend to click away again without reading unless I know the author. The commenting part is trickier, because really there's nothing wrong with blogs that have no comments in certain circumstances it may be preferable, like for instance when your blog gets too popular and the comment threads require constant maintenance. (I sympathise with Ron Silliman in that regard. One certainly can't accuse him of silo-blogging, either his links section got so huge, he had to give it its own site, and he's always been generous with links in posts, too. So in my mind, a good guy, even if I disagree with him 75% of the time.) I am acutely aware of the fact that I don't comment on the blogs I read nearly as much as I should. Usually I relegate blog-reading to the end of the day when I'm too tired to do much else. But I tell myself that I'm already giving enough back by editing qarrtsiluni and curating Moving Poems, and perhaps that's true. Anyway, one of the other things I suck at is Twitter. I don't thank people for RTs or Follow Friday mentions, rarely follow back people who follow me, and generally use it as a broadcast medium. I am happy to know that lots of others, including some poets and witers, are using it in a more social manner. Christine, I'm pretty tone-deaf about status games, so I wasn't aware that was even an issue on FB, but poets being poets, how could it not be, really. |

Hi Clive We've followed a dssucision format for almost all the art or photo posts in the Words of Power issue, so just look for an image post and click on the audio player or podcast link. (We'll have a new photo post going up to today, in less than an hour.) I'd be interested in your reactions. I'm not sure whether or how we'll continue doing this for other issues that we're not the editors for; that has yet to be worked out. We're also not terribly sophisticated in our analyses or at least, I'm not and would be very open to having knowledgeable guest commenters from time to time to talk about some of the art and photos, but we haven't actively pursued that idea quite yet since we're still sort of feeling our way and collecting feedback from listeners and from the artists (which has generally been positive). |
Great poem |

I've read many poems that claim to be good poems about unrequited love. This, by far, is the best I've read. Lovely poem. |

Brandy looks awkward |
Name: Susana | 2015-11-30 |
Brandy looks awkward as hell in the video. She suhold not try to do sexy. If you ain't got it, don't flaunt it . The song is wacked out. Her stuff in the 90s + 00s was ahead of it's time and so fresh. This is nowhere near that standard. Video reminds me of Kelly Rowland's Motivation. The only good thing is that she looks amazingly pretty Well even though I don't like it, I hope it's a hit as she deserves more success than she had when she used to be good! |
